Singapore Entertainment Awards 2009 Celebration Party - Photos Galore!
Alvinology said:
I am not going to type too much text as I am very tired… really need to get more rest. Nonetheless, I am anxious to share with everyone the photos I took at the Singapore Entertainment Awards 2009 Celebration Party, so here goes.I was stationed at the artistes’ holding tent just beside the stage - meaning I have excellent access to the red carpet, the stage and even backstage with the celebrities. However, as I have to work also, I can only sneak in a few pictures here and there.
Recommended by Anonymous Coward: "Big event over the weekend at the Marina Bay Floating Platform, attended by over 10,000 people. Singapore seldom host such big Chinese entertainment events and this one was held at the floating platform which previously only hosted the NDP. A behind-the-scene look by someone who was working at the event."

Japanese girls prettier than Singaporean gals?

It is a simple society ... I will read pornographic material openly on the subway, but I will pay for everything you need; you will whine and behave coquettishly with great frequency, but you will also be quick to light my cigarette when I take it out from the pack.

Tutorial room stories
[pu2]: the simpler story said:
Just like last semester, this semester witnesses students trying to get comfortable in their studies. Some students bring in pillows to accommodate the need for power naps or plain creature comfort. Some go a bit further by actually bringing in sleeping bags or mattresses since they see inefficiency in the need to go back home just to sleep. Of course to protect the rather astronomical logistical effort that they have gone through, students will put signs on the door to stop others from occupying the room.

Nomination Day in Photos by Yawning Bread
Yawning Bread said:
When I approached them, they immediately asked me if I was from the mainstream media. Only when they were convinced of my denials did they agree to pose. I wondered why. After the shot, they enquired which website it would be on. I soon realised that none of them had ever heard of Yawning Bread. Out of curiosity, I asked if they knew of other sites like Singapore Ink, Singabloodypore, Mr Wang, etc. Zilch. None of them recognised any of those names.
Somewhere in there may be an indicator of how the party is not yet able to exploit new media.
Recommended by Anonymous Coward: " Yawning Breads photo essay on nomination day. Nice to get an alternative take, rather than the CNA we love the PAP coverage.

A Casting Call
Terz said:
I'm making a casting call for people, male and female, who have tattoos. Anywhere, any design, preferably extensive ones (not one of those teeny, weeny little ones on bellies or ankles or stuff) - anything larger than maybe the size of a whole palm. I'm doing a personal project on people who think of tats as art, a form of expression, anything, and who want to show off and be willing to appear in a book I'll be producing at the end of it. There'll be an interview as well, and parts of it will appear in the book as well.
Terz is looking for folk with tattoos for his latest project. The dude was one of our official photogs for Bloggers.SG and is a professional photographer. If you have a tattoo (big or small, come one, come all) then drop him a comment on his blog if you want to be featured in his book with your tattoo gloriously preserved for all posterity.

Bloggers.SG 2005 Photos

A picture paints a thousand words so we invited Terz and Christine to be the Official Bloggers.SG Photographers to freeze moments of the event in time to feel nostalgic about it many years from now. Without complaints or questions - the two intrepid photogs lugged their huge heavy cameras to photo-document Bloggers.SG 2005 at both the Woodlands Regional Library and DXO the entire day without stopping.
The result is an amazing collection of photos that capture the Blogger Spirit that was so evidently in the air on the day of the event.
Photos
- Bloggers.SG Set 1
- Bloggers.SG Set 2
- Bloggers.SG Set 3 (new!)
- Bloggers.SG Set 4 (new!)
- Bloggers.SG Set 5 (new!)
- Unsorted shots from Bloggers.SG
Tomorrow.SG would like to thank Terz and Christine for their hard work which goes unpaid because they did it for us FOC (hey these people are professionals) so in gratitude they both get free Bloggers.SG T-shirts.
Let's Play A Game!
While viewing the photos, if you see a blogger you recognize - leave a comment with the photo stating his/her name and blog url (unless of course he is one of those mysterious anonymous bloggers!)
Trackback Your Photos Too!
We know many of you had cameras on that day and were busy snapping away. Share them with the rest of the blogosphere by trackbacking your photo gallery.

Expiration Date

yay! i finished selecting and uploading photos from yesterday’s trip to Malacca (or Melaka, as the locals call it). there are 94 photos uploaded on this site’s photo album. or you can also click on the photo collage above.i’ve been wanting to go to Malacca for weeks. the reasons for that is pretty simple: ari and i need a vacation and Malacca is only a few hours away by car. it would be a cheap vacation; no need to pay for air travel.
just like any other easy vacation, it got forgotten very quickly… until friday morning, i woke up with huge urge to go out off Singapore. By afternoon, ari and i got two tour tickets to Malacca for Saturday….
exotic photos.....

The Visual Guide To Singapore Hawker Food
Stay-at-home mom, Littlerascal has compiled an amazing array of photos to form a visual guide to Singapore hawker food. Beware, you may get hungry just browsing through her set. Unfortunately she seems to have set all her photos to be copyrighted, so we're not able to provide a preview photo. Nevermind, just go check out the link below.

Photos of Changi and Ubin
Peter Chou puts up 2 years of photos from Pulau Ubin and Changi Point:
Pulau Ubin is the last major rural community of Singapore... Today, it has not more than 50 families left catering to the weekend tourist trade in the form of bicycle rental, food and beverage. Pulau Ubin has also a relatively unknown spiritual side in the form of numerous temples and shrines. It even has a shrine to a German girl who reportedly died during WWI when the British authorities attempted to intern her and her family.
