A quick timeline of a bizarre flap over that developed over the Wall Street Journal editorial posted here earlier.
On June 30, Lee Kuan Yew’s press secretary Yeong Yoon Ying sent in a response to the WSJ where Yeong asserted that:
Dr. Chee [Soon Juan] in open court then called the Singapore leaders “murderers, robbers, child molesters” and “rapists.”

Just Jean said:
Back in Singapore, I spoke to my friend and lodged a police report. Apparently, John is getting away scot free because this incident happened in Seoul. I am now back in Seoul to lodge the police report but they said they can only file it. In short, John had a free lunch.
Recommended by Anonymous Coward: "A Singaporean girl got molested overseas by another Singaporean guy only to find out that the Singapore police has no jurisdiction over what happens out of Singapore. That means a Singaporean can commit a seizable offence against another Singaporean and get away scot free. The blogger is now appealling for help, but all she gets is more insults. "

That is when the Thai dude start to become friendlier. Smiles became short talks. Short talks became compliments on my improvements and my body. I didn’t really suspect anything as I thought he was probably a friendly guy opening up. And fact is, I don’t want to be unfriendly to a guy who can bench press three times my weight.
The day came when I happen to bump into him in the toilet. It was an afternoon and there was nobody around and odds of someone walking in on us was low.

Respect and Common Sense – Why Some People Don’t Have It When Dealing With Hired Domestic Help, I Never Know
Maids falling to their deaths... Being tortured… The irony of it all is that despite precedents reported in the news, the cases still reoccur - same scenarios, same consequences, just with different names. I question why our society still hasn’t evolved into one whereby people show respect to fellow human beings, regardless of race, language, religion, education level or occupation. Is it just the Singapore society??
Recommended by Anonymous Coward: "Very good insight on how Singaporeans treat their maids as if they are not fellow human beings, and how they do things to maids that they wouldn't want to happen to themselves or their family."

nebulaenova recounted her experience at a local gym...
Just as I was putting on my shoes and had somehow managed to convinced my brain cells that this was all a mistake, the lady stood right in front of me. And she was still naked! And because I was sitting down and she was standing up, guess where her nether region was? Yes, right in front of my freaking face. It was bushy and brown and it was in my freaking face!!!
If you asked me, I would welcome the experience, but then, I'm a guy. Read the whole "frightening" but funny story here...click
