Singapore MP set on fire
Simply Jean said:
This event, although unfortunate, may bear a few lessons – not only for the politicians, but for us to learn. Notwithstanding the psychological status of the attacker, this goes to show that in desperate times, desperate measures may be deemed necessary to the ones who are suffering.
Recommended by Anonymous Coward: "The MP, Mr Seng Han Thong, was attacked not once, but twice by different people under his constituency in the last 3 years, including the recent one. Are Singaporeans losing it, or are politicians beginning to look so powerful that the failure of an appeal makes it look like they are refusing to do anything?"

Car on Fire (Flickr)
Flickr user "Ping Timeout" has a photo of a car burning.

This was taken from my apartment, by my wife late afternoon about 4pm, at Stevens Road heading towards PIE. Not sure what car this is, but it's definitely ON FIRE!!. Owner/driver nowhere to be seen. Shot taken with camera phone. Interestingly no one bothered to stop or avoid site in both directions. NO FEAR.....

For the benefit of those who did not manage to make it and those who had purportedly shunned the event to avoid crowd, we recorded the entire fireworks display to share with everyone.

Fire Aftermath - a boy recalls his experience when his flat caught fire
Donovan said:
Town Council is helping- and has helped with cleaning.Mr Palmer, the MP of our constituency will be coming down tomorrow- Mum wasn't feelin' too well today and re-scheduled the visit.
The electrician would come at 9AM tomorrow.
Cleaners would arrive around 12PM, if memory still serves me well.
Nice Jia Ru volunteered to help me from the morning. I owe her big-time for that.
I would have to call YJC tomorrow, and inform my CT.
Recommended by alvinism: "The boy's house caught fire - and he still found courage to blog about the incident to inform his friends and loved ones. Scroll down the blog entries to see photos of the damages the fire caused..."
