Cute uncle dances to song by local band King Kong Jane

King Kong Jane said:

He's a regular at local gigs. He's really good at dancing spontaneously. And he's the uncle I'll always remember for giving us one of our best gigs yet.

Recommended by Anonymous Coward: "Check out this video of a cute uncle who dances super energetically at the Esplanade, to a song by local band King Kong Jane"

Sprocket at the Esplanade

squareCircleZ said:

We saw the Sprocket in front of the Esplanade in Singapore recently. It was a lot of fun. [...]

The materials for the Sprocket are all recycled and the only energy input is human.

Recommended by tinkertailor: "A strange-looking musical vehicle."

Scottish Band dressed like Eskimos

kormmandos said:

And they call themselves MOGWAI (mou guai as in 魔鬼 in Cantonese)

I wonder if they would performing in sunny Singpaore in the eskimo get-up too.

They are performing in Singapore at the Esplanade Theatre on 1 August 2006, 8pm. Tickets on sale 6 June 2006

Recommended by kormmandos: "I thought the band looked quirky in the eskimo get-up. Plus, it's a kind of music that will probably never be played on our radio and TV stations. Singaporeans got to know that there's more to music than Class 95 and 98.7"

Blogsite for the Arty S'pore Youth

Esplanade Youths said:

A blogsite that's been born out of sheer enthusiasm for the arts. You'll find a space here for your personal experiences - to yak and jabber on and hear from other amer, funny Esplanade Youths members with opinions about everything remotely related to the arts and Esplanade.

Recommended by brennan: "To keep youths (like me) to be in touch with the arts, the premier Durian Arts Centre of Singapore has just launched a blog to keep youths abreast of the latest happenings in the arts scene.

The design is kinda' punkish Blogskin-like, la."
