Ghost of Hoax?

Juni said:

Remember the BMT gathering photo that sparked a big hoohah on my tagboard? The one with the baby very high up in the background?

Apparently, my other BMT friend had the photographer take the same shot with another camera.

Wanna do a comparison?

Malaysian babies can no longer be Hitler, Stalin or even 007

Zee News.com said:

Adolf Hitler, Stalin, Zaniah (female adulterer), Batumalai (stone hill) or Ah Kow (dog) figure amongst a list of names that are termed "undesirable" for use by Malaysians to christen their children.

Recommended by Lucian: "Future generations will never have malaysian friends called Ah Kow. Ever."

Da Brat Is In Da House

Jay-Walk ponders the multiethnic staff at Kandang Kerbau:

We were so engrossed in chit chatting that we didn't even notice the baby's about to pop. Then there was a mad rush to page for the doctor and I must say that I was very impressed with everyone at KK Hospital. There, I saw our gynae (Chinese), another doctor (Indian), senior staff nurse (Chinese) and midwife (Malay) all working seamlessly together as a team. With all the recent talks about racial issues on the blogosphere, I was glad, for a change, to witness how these Singaporeans were working together as "One United People".

The gift of a new life

Huichieh said

Penelope Loy Hsin Ying entered the world at 0028 hrs May 9 (EDT -0400) 2005, unpersuaded by the wishes of various concerned parties that she arrive on Mother's Day, deciding instead to stick precisely to the predicted due date. Mother and child are both well and resting even as I conclude this brief note.

Swiming Babies

swim.jpgHuileng said "Like what Timmermans emphasis is: prevent drowning, the book doesn't really cover how to teach the baby to swim. The little lessons are designed to teach babies to be water confident, from earlier lesson like learning how to go under water, to floating on their back at the latter part. Nothing like how to swim breast stroke or free style."
