Why Aren't They Talking About Ho Yeow Sun?

Something's not right.

My husband asked me yesterday "How come Ho Yeow Sun's making it so huge overseas and here you hardly hear about her?"

I don't have an answer, or rather, I'm AFRAID to answer! Could it be that our multi-religious society "fail" to see her as a talented singer because they'd rather not deal? Could it be that they have beaten her up so badly in the press before it seems like a reversal of position for them to do any decent story on her? Do I really want to read about a lard-eating cardiologist who obviously has no respect for his own body when I could be learning more about this woman who is putting Singapore on the map AND SINGAPORE CHOOSES NOT TO NOTICE?!

Hi, im from a methodist church and i studied some religious studies when i was younger and i dunno abt u or chc, but i dont see anything wrong with living a life of abundance. Afterall God did promise that if we sought Him first He would bless us.

Afterall, in the garden of Eden, God did create gold, everything on earth in fact. The devil didnt create anything, the only thing he can create is trouble, lies or whatever.

Abraham was rich in livestock, goods and lands. Solomon's temple in today's currency, if im not wrong close to a billion US dollars if you convert gold to today's currency. i cant rem the article on the net but i did my research.

God owns everything, so in terms of networth if u want to put it, He's right at the top. His throne is filled with jewels and the streets of heaven are paved with gold.

This whole chc prosperity thing puzzles me. if they're indeed a cult (unblibical) church, sooner or later they would close, i mean, why worry? God is not dumb right? A cult church wouldnt be blessed in the first place, since any tree that doesnt bear fruit will be cursed, cut down and burned.

so far, there hasnt been any proven report of chc using its funds for something else. that church is quite high profile, not just regionally but globally. one mistake and itll be a big hoohah by now..

and im curious, what do you mean by the term 'prosperity message'? i wonder who invented this term.

Money and wealth is blibical as far as i know.
It's Greed and covetousness that isnt.

the bible is definitely not a poverty message thats for sure.

i dont like siding in a an argument, hopefully my thoughts do shed some light and hopefully give this issue some open space for both chc members and outsiders to make their stand..

There is a difference between living a life of abundance and making that a priority in a Christian's life. While the gospel isn't a 'poverty message', it isn't a 'prosperity message' either. It is not about being rich or poor but where your heart is.
