Barricaded New Year

the real drama came after the fireworks ended. there were thousands of people crowded on the road facing the singapore river. so naturally nobody could see past the people they were surrounded by. imagine the dismay people felt when they discovered they couldn’t go beyond the strategically placed barricade that was right smack in the middle of the road, dividing the crowd into two camps. one who wanted to go back to the esplanade area, one who wanted to go towards the raffles place area.
