Fuel pricing myths debunked

Today Online said:

Reading “Fuel oil prices are falling, so why are tariffs still high?” (Dec 10) drives me somewhat nuts. I can’t help it because I’m in the industry and I understand how the electricity tariffs work.

Funny thing is, the listed blog mrsbudak.livejournal.com has been deleted! LOL

Er. Her explanation wasn't very in depth also. Actually its quite a crap article. The only thing I learnt was that she wasn't getting extra for her bonus.

Well the prices have gone back down and everyone has quietened, so why is she (whether complaining about the price hike or complaining abt the ppl who are complaning about the price hike) still kicking up a fuss?

What talk her?

Which part of the article actually went about debunking fuel pricing myths? All I got from it was some fucktard ranting about not getting her bonus. This is by far the dumbest blog entry of 2008. So Mrs Budak didn't her get bonus, the utility companies must be going out of business.

Maybe you should read beyond the first two paragraphs

The graph provided by the .. uh, Energy something government entity is interesting. Someone should compare the tariff prices with oil prices to see how they correlate.

We get our power from Natural Gas so the correlation won't be that great.

And futures contacts are used to hedge fuel costs, so there can be considerable lags in price adjustments.

most singaporeans deserve the govt we got.
dont complain for the sake of complain pls. dont think most pple bothered to check out the websites and find out how prices are derived.

so, how really does electricity tariffs work?
