Singaporean connection behind Kenyan cyclists journey to the Tour de France podium

Rod Gilmour said:

Eldoret, a remote tribal village is in the land of marathon champions. Two Kenyans, Zakayo Ndbri and Mwangi Samwel were sought out by Singaporean Nick Leong for a journey to realise an exhilarating dream - the first Africans to ride the Tour de France! This Telegraph article by Gilmor gives a good account (and the first major coverage) of the project's background and challenges.

Recommended by Otterman: "It's exhilarating! Some of us might remember Zakayo blazing up the annual Swissotel Vertical Marathon in a record seven minutes. In August, Zakayo (1st) and Mwangi (3rd) revelaed themselves at the Alpe d’Huez - a video clip shows Zakayo fighting off a challenge in the final push to the finish line! And there'll be a movie too! James Leong and Lynn Lee are making "The African Cyclist": http://www.theafricancyclist.com/ "
