Singapore Woman Claims To Have Been Exorcised - Video Shows That She's Really Been Exercising!

Aussie Pete said:

"The accusations made by Amutha Valli Krishnan against Novena Church look to be disproven in court, as the defense presents a shocking video of her 'real' behaviour - The questions have now been raised as to if she been faking her psychiatric symptoms and perhaps she is not really physically frail as she had portrayed herself to be?"

"The video footage was filmed by a private investigator, and even showed her working out in a gym on a stepper exercise machine. "

Recommended by AussiePB: "Sometimes these things are all about money - thank heavens for today's technology - she won't be able to get away with this scam, and I really hope the Church now sues back!!"

Me? I frown at the method of the defence which employed a private investigator to spy on Mdm Amutha Valli Krishnan....

Excellent point, 'The Exorcised'... I guess this raises a whole new debate (perhaps another article)... the use of technology in cases such as these, and infringement upon privacy. Insurance Companies have been engaging Private Investigators with video cameras now for many years, to catch people who rort the system and make false claims. Also some governments use the same tactics for bogus workers compensation claims (eg. people off work for extended periods on full pay due to say a back injury incurred at the workplace - only to be videotaped rock-climbing, playing sports, etc...)

I guess if Mdm Amutha is proved in the courts to be not telling the truth and she is just trying to extort money from this church, then I have no objections to the method of getting at the truth, and she should be made pay the court costs for the defence.
