Singapore JI terrorist leader escape = Black magic?

Slutty said:

...it's either an inside job or the terrorist used Black magic or as what lotsa pple claim, it was an error on the police's side. What i can't understand tho is how possible it can be for e terrorist to run off without anyone seeing him. If it was not black magic, then dun tell me the Whitley Detention area's security is sooo lax?

conspiracy. they probably accidentally (or not) tortured him till death in the detention centre and try to cover it with the whole he-gone-missing story. just wait a while longer and maybe they'll report one fine day that he was found somewhere dead, cover ups yo. don't forget we are surrounded by many muslim countries that may not react well if they knew he was tortured and killed. could stir up a big mess. like seriously, it wasn't even the first time he escaped. and the people that were escorting him were not the police but rifle-carrying men. and he has a limp. the gone missing story is too fake to be true in my opinion.

I guess all we can say is 'shit happens'. Well, it took 5 days before Mas Selamat dropped off the headlines - of ST at least. What a week of limping escapees, jungle spring-cleaning and a minister who has to read a 'script' to apologise....

Help find Selamat at my blog by the way!

Haha singaporeans, Is this what you get for paying your ministers ludicrous amount of salaries?
and on top of it, a brief mention of the word 'sorry' is enough to compensate for that?
your minister wong must be an imbecile wanker. he should've resigned or at least committed harakiri.
shame on you, s'porean ministers.

best comment from 'Not enough manpower'
just a big shame on WKS n his Home Team, why also Ho Peng Kee never have to ans..?

the government was partially at fault for his escape.
they only informed the public 4 hours after the actual escape.
irresponsible, much?

just a thought, what if mas totally makeover his face....never shape mustache but shape hair like mr T mohawk style, wear ear ring, listening mp3 player walking-jumping left-right to cover his limp?

We always claim that our country was better in many aspect. But this case showed how stupid we are and shameful.

no blackmagic one lah. like that every cock and bull in changi also can escape frm prison loh.

Posted by Anonymous Coward* on 3 March, 2008 - 3:23pm

hahah another political mindgame. make all of you focus on one lame man and praise you all for taking the effort to be more vigilant. what fucking bullshit. those cabinet pple sure know how to divert your attention. wake up pple! don't you realise you shld also be more concerned abt how tharman made a "calculation error" in doing the budget? how can he, as finance minister make such a huge mistake? it's taxpayers money, YOUR MONEY, you know. shouldn't he answer for the mistake? i'm not saying that a finance minister must be perfect, but when it comes to budget this kind of thing, shouldn't he be really careful about not making mistakes?

and they still haven't answer the public through the states times as to how did a cockster in jail got given extra caning? prison men only asked to count number of strokes, and can be done using fingers, we're not asking him to count money-related budget stuff. how can he make such a stupid calculation error!

Posted by Anonymous Coward* on 3 March, 2008 - 3:22pm

In Singapore, all government people are allow to make 'honest mistake' and smile when they confess it. So are all the ministers lah! Next time we must make sure to put in more opposition in election to convert all 'honest mistake' to mistake accountable.

The PAP government assigned 99% of the police force to watch Chee Soon Juan and his sister in case the siblings try to organize another protest event, or worse, try to flee the country. Lee Kuan Yew and Lee Hsien Loong are so underpaid they need to rely on damages from libel suits to make ends meet --- we can't blame them. I'm glad the government and police got their priorities right.

7. A smokescreen for the recent announcement of billion-dollar budget surplus is also not a far-fetched idea.

Posted by V For Vendetta* on 3 March, 2008 - 11:29am

1. i do believe he used some sort of black magic hypnotism thingy to aide his escape, and these kind of things usually requires some personal sacrifices like fasting, abstinence from sex, reciting certain verses thousands of times.

2. Also highly suspect he had some inside help from officers. also, he has long pre-planned this. During one (of many) family visits, he could have asked family members to "pass a message to my friend/uncle/fishing buddy etc...".

3. Senior JI operatives like Hambali or Mas Selamat or Abu Bakar Bashir are hard to rehabilitate, Mas Selamat must have pretended to have been rehabilitated so that the prison officers can see that he is reaching the "Yellow Ribbon" standard. (which i personally think is a bullshit rehabilitation program) Senior JI have their minds already brainwashed with the Al-Qaeda doctrine. its hard to un-brainwash, the catalyst for this is very simple : Pure hatred of the US of A and any country aligned with it.

4. Why the Fxxx did it take 4 hours to inform the public? in four hours, he can cooly take
public transport to his accomplice place, cut his hair botak (or dye), put on some new clothes (or maybe go shopping in Chinatown??) go to one of many coastal area beaches in Singapore to an awaiting motorised sampan ---destination--- take your pick from the hundreds of neigbouring Riau islands, where by then its already like finding a needle in a sea of haystack (much credit to the Indon forces for finding him in the first place...million times better (pun intended) than our own)

5. If ministerial accountability exists in Singapore Inc, then Anna Nicole Smith married for love and WMDs are in Iraq (or Aye-Rack) furthermore this is one of the many screw-ups of the goverment since "Prestigious Son" took over.

6. Want the people of Singapore to co-operate? Its a six letter word = R-E-W-A-R-D.
Money is the root of all evil, but in this case, it can be used to capture one evil on the loose.

Posted by V For Vendetta* on 3 March, 2008 - 11:21am

I think chance's that somebod helping is remote.............unless the gurkas take money from him...there is around 4 to 5 gurkas....guarding there........don't tell me...he ran so far...nobody except for the petrol station attendant who saw him..running up the hill....
.something is not right....nobody can kust disappear like that..breaking out of the ISD is impossible....evading arrest is even impossible.....i suspect he know's some black arts...whatever it is,this photo will not help so much....we will not be able differente from general malay population.....unless we know them personally....we gonna stare at every malay man see whether he look's like mas selmat....hopefully,i hope we can catch him soon....if not in the long term, sure there will be tension between races......i have we have some ANSWERS soon......i was at the coffee-shop....there was this indian man limping (sure,indian..he so black...mas selmat os brown mah),,,two aunty was shouting "mas selamat mas selmat" all come out to look....the indian man was annoyed.he shouted "all u fuc*ers..."...he took out his leg and....wave it in the air...he was wearing an artifical leg....it seem comical to me.....but i am sure in the long run....this will create more tension

Posted by bigball* on 3 March, 2008 - 12:03am

...and I'm sure comments like this - sure,indian..he so black...mas selmat os brown mah - would not have any effect on racial tension whatsoever. Sheesh, why do dumb*sses like these have to let everyone know how ignorant they really are by commenting? If an Indian was 'black' and a Malay dude was 'brown', then a Chinese fellow would be 'urine yellow' or 'pus yellow' correct?

Anyway, how about I give a stereotypical retort from my side of the fence - I guess I'll just wait for you to die from some pork-related disease before I have the last laugh...

they everything also want to cover up when they all want us to help nab that bastard. oei khoo boon hui, show us some transparency lah! nabeh j*b*i.

Posted by Anonymous Coward* on 2 March, 2008 - 11:02pm

u talk like u have a pea-brain....don't forget we are surronded by muslim nations....just like mas selmat's escape changed the whole equation.....if they started killing all of them...first there will be ususally be racial riot, second we would not get intelligence how they operate...I think we can't blame our govt....this is beyound normal occurance...this is super-natural.........as mas selmat was born in indonesia....they have various types of black-arts (black magic),there is department in indonesia which deal's with this...i heard when the indonesians used a type of voodo which paralyse him...obiously their's is much more better...They have type of voodo, which i was told by balinese man,if u pratise it at certain time of the year, when some planets are closed together...u use some chanting....those people around will be temporarily in zombie state for about 40 minutes....u will not be able to rember what happend...he told me u must keep chanting for around 2 years...and u must refrain from sex.........(I am sure he was not having sex there).............some would say this is sheer bullshit...maybe it is....I am very sure the external entrance are guarded by GURKAS...who have highly revived for their valour and discipline........what I fear....he will be back,....with a VENGANCE..

All that's being reported is how extensive security has been stepped up and blah blah

As if that's not the minimum requirement after such a bungle..

And hey, no cash reward either? Wong Kan Seng should be more generous and offer his whole year or five years salary to the public.. at least still can keep his job and reputation.. this guy cant even take care of his Ministry.. wonder what it is our Ministers really do.

Posted by How did Mas Selamat escape?* on 2 March, 2008 - 2:08am

I think that a few police officers that were sympathetic to his cause aided his escape. Even if these guards were incompetent or even absent, there is still the matter of locked doors and high fences for this quasi-mobile, would-be kamikaze pilot to content with.

This organization primarily intends to attack western interests. In 2002 they aimed primarily at US related targets. The US naval installation, common hangouts of US servicemen, the US embassy, even the American club were targets in the plans discovered by Singaporean authorities.

As an american living and working in SG, I am very conscience of the overwhelming resentment held by MOST countries in the world, against the US. I can't say it isn't in some ways justified by the heavy handed tactics used by the US to get its way.

I would NOT say this is justification for attacking US servicemen whom, rather than harboring an ideological hatred for Islam, are just dispassionately doing their jobs handed to them from above. Nor is it justification for attacking US civilians at the American club or embassy whom presumably have no stake in matters of state.

As for the target of Changi airport, I would guess this had something to do with the recent and highly publicized airshow, in which military hardware develop and sold by the US, is was display. I think it is reasonable to think a significant amount US military officials attended the airshow and are still in Singapore.

I don't mean to give the impression that I think the whole world revolves around the US. I would say though, that the US has made far more enemies than Singapore, and that the majority of targets the JI has plotted against, are US related.

With all these reasons for resentment of the west, I think its much more probable that this gimpy terrorist had help from within the prison. Singapore police are not incompetent in my experience. They're quite the opposite. Singaporeans often don't appreciate how good they have it in this peaceful prosperous country.

Singapore is a shining diamond in the rough of southeast Asia. My respect to LKY, I put him on par with the founding fathers of my own country.

Posted by Mike from the States* on 2 March, 2008 - 1:34am

I don't think you know what you're talking about. Why would a terrorist want to attack an airshow when it could attack an airport? It's like laying Amy Winehouse when you could be laying Jessica Alba.

Did the terrorists seek to kill Americans when they did Madrid and London? Or Bali? No, they wanted to kill people like Singaporeans who sided with the US.

The world does not revolve around the US.

This could be a 'Black Operation'. When the CIA gets involved, lets him loose and tracks him so that they can find the nest. If thats it then the Singapore Government is off to a good spin because really, You can't leave the country that easily unnoticed as seen with previous cases.

Come to think of it the whole event brought SHAME to Singapore...really shameful. Can anyone back me up to have a FOREIGN TALENT to replace the minister in-charge of the shameful episode ? Maybe a blangladash with SGD1000 /mth will do a better job because our LOCAL TRASH failed miserably. An honest mistake as an excuse is a joke to the whole world. Honestly, u who r in-charge ought to resign honestly. A private sector top management personnel would be replaced if he/she blunders with one such as this. Old man Li, please strike a balance to admit that this is your lousy, imcompetent governence of all the years ! You have brought SHAME to Singapore !!! Next time when I travel, I would not reveal I'm a Singaporean.

Posted by Foreign Talent* on 1 March, 2008 - 7:54pm

You're blaming the government? you're blaming our prime minister? Are you aware that the report of his escape only reached his office at 6pm? none of the ministers are involved in this at all; in fact some only heard of his escape on the public news! Tell me, as a smart Singaporean, what you would, or could have done as an acting minister. Tell me that before brazenly informing the entire world that out government is trash. The real people to blame here are the officers in charge at the whitley detention centre, for they are the ones who had delayed the search operation by a few hours, giving time for Mas Selemat to escape. Please think thrice before blaming somebody whom you know nothing of.
