Comparison of schools

That's the common stereotype we have of neighbhourhood schools, isn' it? I did not get in to one of Singapore's premier schools because of our vaunted meritocratic values. I got in through old-fashion nepotism. In fact, around one-third of my cohort missed the official cut-off entry score by a large margin.

O rly. My kind of premier secondary school certainly did not let 1/3 of it's students get in with lower than cutoff scores. Please do not confuse the nature of "premiere" in Singapore.
