The best protest is to download more animes. If you download from ddl sites like da-anime.org, it's 100% safe. They can't catch u that way. lolz

Trackback from DarkMirage : SingNet Sold Personal Info to Odex for Profit:

Singnet sold you out. They thought that they were going to lose the case if they fought it, so they decided to just give up and make some money instead....

Trackback from Siew Kum Hong : ODEX Pte Ltd v Pacific Internet Limited:

Surely the ISPs' confidentiality obligations ought to mean something, and surely the courts ought to ensure that plaintiffs seeking subscriber information satisfy all applicable legal requirements before granting any orders....

Trackback from Pacnet's Win, Odex's Loss: The Grounds, the Future.:

Not even attempting to contest Odex's application for a court order to compel Singnet to reveal customer's private information is a dereliction of that obligation and shows that the concept of 'Valuing our Customers' Privacy' is only given lip service....

Trackback from YoungJedi: Crackdown on illegal anime downloaders Part 3:

... It seems like the someone's Deathstar just got blew!! Hehehe!!!...

Hi I love Anime Galleries that is why I created Animespy.net let me know what you think of it. It's my top link. It has over 2,000 Anime Episodes and over 100 anime series. ENJOY :D

Trackback from Anime in court: 2 ISPs, 2 different outcomes:

This means that SingNet did not even argue against Odex's application for subscriber information. The ISP did not even instruct its lawyers to attend the court hearing of Odex's application....

Trackback from Insane Polygons: Glad I'm Not A Singnet Subscriber:

Singnet did not even bothered to hire some 10 cents lawyer to at least check out the validity of Odex claims. Nope, they just rolled over and handed over the identities of their customers- no questions asked....

Trackback from Singnet, You Fucking Chao Cheebye:

They basically just rolled over, pulled down their pants and gave Odex an open invitation to sodomise them....

Trackback from Odex saga made me unsubscribe Singnet:

When Singnet support calls me and if they ask me the reason for termination, i have a mind to say "I read somewhere on the internet that Singnet sold out on its subscribers to Odex leh. So i now unsubscribe loh."....

Trackback from So, did Singnet betray her clients?:

The question is this: WHAT THE HELL MAKES SINGNET THINK THAT IT CAN MAKE SUCH DECISIONS? Even the Courts have thrown it out. Has Singnet betrayed her clients and their right to privacy?...

I'll probably unsubscribe from singnet once my contract runs out. their failure to serve their customers and uphold their rights, and to give away identity data without PROOF is disturbing.

Myself I'm seriously considering moving from Singtel to M1 or Starhub. If they won't protect your internet identity, what makes you think your mobile is any safer?

Posted by Anonymous Coward* on 27 August, 2007 - 4:00pm

Utterly disappointed at the way singnet just willingly hand over their clients listing and details.. whateva happened to privacy rights? And also this isnt the first time.. very very very utterly disappointed in them... And Starhub too, had great faith in them.. what happened? Why didnt u stand up like Pacnet? Was initially wanted to switch over to starhub.. but now... HA the mind is set and NO WAY

The very fact these 2 ISP doesnt even bother to protect their loyal customers' rights is a PISS OFF.

Pacnet all the way! U really really made mi change my opinion of u (but try to buck up on the tech support ya?) Will definitely switch to u... (not becos u got great netwrk etc) but the very fact u BOTHERED to protect ur clients' interests is worth every single cent

THUMBS UP!

Woosh~! Pacnet all the way!

Trackback from The FØØL’s Progress:

the pic you featured was originally part of this. it also talks about how Odex can be countersued in a class action because it has no legal grounds to threaten legal action...

I think I should go beck to Pacnet after what happened.

Posted by Anonymous Coward* on 28 August, 2007 - 10:55am

Is Pacnet internet browsing good? I'm considering to switch over to them cos they protect their customers' privacy. My contract ending soon for starhub..

I really agree with you guys, service providers SHOULD keep our info confidential at all times. Thus after my contract ends, "PACNET i'll be with YOU!!!"

Trackback from Musings:

This doesn’t strike me as entirely honest ... Quite apart from the issue of whether ODEX has a right of civil action ... mere downloading of an infringing copy is not a criminal offence ......

Maybe odex can be counter sue for not offering the online legal download option.

My privacy has been RAPED!

sometimes company got problems, do this to get quick cash! (3 subs x 1000 subs x $3000 fine) = $9 million bucks!

Trackback from Singnet's Response: "But We Didn't Consent!" Ya Right...:

Their response yesterday was as newsworthy as it was incredulous. So much so, it makes one wonder if they really believe what they proferred as justification and clarification for their shortcomings....

Trackback from Cold Man Heart:

City of Possibilities, My Son......

Trackback from Odex: Bringing in the Big Boys.:

Like the anonymous commentor noted, donating money to charitable causes is all very nice and dandy. A slick PR move. BUT it isn't even Odex's money to donate in the first place. ...

Loser Sing*** obviously gave away the ISPs, don't understand why some people just cannot admit to things they have done. An obvious greed for money. Best way to show retaliation is to download animes from other websites and stop downloading anime that is under ODEX's distribution. Or even better write in to complain/Straits Times. Actually I don't understand why people downloads anime because some of them are so pixellated and poorly subbed.

Posted by Annoying Bitch* on 3 September, 2007 - 10:00pm

how do we know whether the anime is distribute by ODEX?

someone call the swat teams! we have astroboy, ultraman and a 50-foot gundam protesting out here!
