Clubbing and Singaporeans: Some Observations

Only in our nation do you get people who dance in a gigantic circle; only in our nation do you get synchronized hand movements as the preferred way to dance and to de-stress (okay Japan also got para-para); only in our nation do you get people who wait until around 12 midnight to start dancing (by which time the dance floor is completely congested).

Man, this guy doesn't *get* clubbing. Nor knows how to get to the best parties. And even if he does, I hope he knows how to have fun. Geez. I'm guessing the Butterfly Tales [blog] should be his required reading.

*note: pls club in HK, KL, and more places in the world ... you'd find that the more things are different, the more they remain the same.

yes he should read Butterfly's blog (best local blog i've read).. that guy is amazingly hilarious and it'll give him some 'insights' on the local club culture.

I think you miss the author's point. He didn't claim to be happening - in fact, he doesn't seem to care much for that sort of thing.

I reckon he doesn't get out much. Look at HK, KL, BKK, lets not get started with London or the states. It is basically a 'cultural' thing, each have their unique 'tastes'.
Not that it matters to him. The author's opinion, his point of view. He argued and justified it, fine.

Hah I agree with him!
