Where in the world is Mr. Kiasu? - A Forgotten Singapore Icon Remembered
Melvin Ryan Tan said:
What are the Singaporean icons that were really big and have disappeared? Sharity Elephant, Courtesy Lion, "that environment frog" and Mr. Kiasu came to our minds... I went down to Borders at Wheelock Place and enquired about the book. Surprisingly, the sales assistant at Borders knew of it and directed me to the shelf around the "cartoon section". She jokingly exclaimed "Mr. Kiasu? The books with the funny purple covers?" when I enquired about the book.
