Who says guys can't cook?

She wakes me this morning at 11 and gives me the good news that we can expect another 4 people for dinner. I love a challenge. Change of menu. Urgent shopping. No time to cook. Decided to inaugurate some recipes on this here blog.

Uh, if anything, I know more Singaporean guys who can cook, than Singaporean girls. In fact, it seems to be the norm rather than the exception.

You are right Geekgeek. Found this out a decade ago at our ACS Discovery Camp at NUS. The chef pleaded with us teachers to help them cut some vegetables on that special final dinner because of the huge crowd. One teacher refused to help, proudly declaring that she never did any cooking at home as it was her fiance who cooked.!

During their maids' off days, instead of their wives doing the cooking, many of my friends take on the task of cooking for their families and they cook really well!

Cooking is not a difficult task. Though Singapore is a food paradise, it is wonderful to be able to whip up a good dinner and see the joy and satisfaction from your loves ones. Dinner cooked at home with love, is still the best and healthiest.

Anyone possibly termed as human, would be able to cook, if they do not want to eat their food raw. So, what's up with the gender issue?
