I do agree, there is some sort of New Wave going on over at South East Asia. At the forefront is definitely Thailand, with their numerous international hits (Tom Yam Goong!), but the rise of digital indie films in both Singapore and Malaysia are getting some attention in international arenas. We'll see how things will evolve. But seems that Kan Lume's stuff are pretty interesting, might have a look if possible.
