Brainwashing Sexuality Talk: Celebrate Life!

Cygig said:

#Using contraceptive and homosexual = mastubation?! According to the lecturer, since using contraceptive and homosexual sex are not real sex as there is no fertilisation, its merely a simluation and considered masturabtion. And masturbation is degrading.

Recommended by DK: "This is disturbing. A sexuality workshop that says that using contraceptive is considered masturbation and masturbation is wrong. Then how? Everyone stop using condom and contract all sorts of STD and unwanted pregnancy?"

Is that talk by the Liberty League? If it is then it is really too much man.

The people talk like religious leaders. Even in those talks they cannot quit the "accent". A chinese proverbs says that "dogs don't quit eating shit". I think I get it now.

I am not against their beliefs, but I am against them brainwashing people like that while camouflaged in a "beneficial sexuality talk".

Can't be helped, such people ruin their own image in their own hands.

Last year, the Family Life Society conducted sexuality education talks in 29 schools, Focus on the Family in 25 schools and newly set up non-profit groups ALife and Liberty League in 10 and 5 schools respectively....

one can only presume these workshops are run by puritans who are unable to appreciate or understand human sexuality
-
"They should be taught that to bring another human being into the world is a serious matter, only to be undertaken when the child will have a reasonable prospect of health, good surroundings, and parental care. But they should also be taught methods of birth control, so as to insure that children shall only come when they are wanted. Finally, they should be taught the dangers of venereal disease, and the methods of prevention and cure. The increase of human happiness to be expected from sex education on these lines is immeasurable" - Bertrand Russell, What I believe

From this thread by the blogger, 'According to them, using condom will not reduce chances of getting STD. Becos they say the HIV virus is smaller than the minute holes in the condom. At least this sound more creaidble among others during the talk."

It's one thing to present one's personal opinions about sexuality. It's quite another to give misleading information; this has to stop. The thing about the HIV and minute holes is not credible... This is quite a troubling development, I never knew groups like FOTF are involved in talks held in schools...

more of this crappy religious fundies (LIARS)

I already mentioned this december 2004.

Water Molecule size

a lot of conservatives like to quote the April 1992 report in Rubber
Chemistry and Technology by CM Roland, that there are 5 micron holes in condom
rubber.

there are some allegations that he used latex glove rubber to
conduct the test

electron microscopy of condom latex has shown that there
are NO pores (sources include The Latex Condom: Recent Advances, Future
Directions. Family Health International, 1998, pg 9, book distributed by WHO as
part of the Male Latex Condom Manual.

Furthermore, latex condoms are
double dipped. I'm sure you will agree that the water molecule is smaller than
the HIV virus.
HIV virus = 0.1 microns (ie: 0.1 x10^-6 = 0.0000001
metres)
Water molecule = 0.2 nanomicrons (ie: 0.2 x 10^-9 = 0.0000000002
metres)

so this too is a blatant mistruth.

Our youth are having their brains screwed with. I wonder what the future holds for Singapore with the stealth invasion by the fundies.

the only solution is to fight fire with fire. instead of a church, let the young worship at the altar of the ATM every day

"To pay the debt, the parents sold their HDB flat last year and used the cash proceeds and family savings to pay off the loan sharks .. Candice said though she was resistant to the latter idea, she eventually agreed because she felt she needed money fast. The pimp would take 40 per cent of her earnings" The New Paper, 5 Apr 2005

Can someone fucking write a petition against this? This must stop because religious beliefs aren't the facts.

We live in a world run by science, not the thousands of gods people worship. Who's right, who's wrong, let serious research prove itself.

I worship myself. Every night, with my one-handed pole, I seat myself before the computer and proceed to...

fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap! fwap!

Seriously, someone should do a study on the rate of prostate cancer in these fundies. All the decades of not flushing out the prostate must amount to substantial damage.

Eh? I thought that you're the doppelganger who makes snide comments, and the other one was the one who makes masturbation jokes. how come change liao?

Eh this one makes an incisive observation also

an obvious sexylosers fan ...www.sexylosers.com

Brilliant. So we can look forward to higher incidence of teenage pregnancy and STDs, because teenagers are going to experiment no matter how many of them are invited to "condemn" masturbation or premarital sex, as these laughable talks and workbooks are apparently having them do, and they they are going to experiment at the risk of their own health because they have been denied factual information about how the body or the condom works.

How does anyone stop this? If I were a parent, I would write to my child's school, point out the factual inaccuracies and foolishness involved, and, if nothing else, insist that my child be excused from attending it. And yes, my kid would get actual sex education at home (as opposed to the sexuality "education" developed by the Ministry of Education). But then, I don't know how many parents in Singapore would do that --- or we wouldn't need sexuality education in schools in the first place.

Im the owner of the blog ok....i wanna say im not AGAINST this thing or what...but it made me felt uncomforty...might only be my own opinion hor...and my memory isnt that fabulous...

For a hilarious look at religious beliefs trying to become fact and for a look at how illogical some "highly educated" doctors have become.

It's a long read, but worth the giggles.

Recent Runes....

Everytime funny things like these come up, it's from THESE people. They knock on your door, block you on the road, pester you for funds and condemn you. I don't see Buddhist, Taoist or Islamic groups come try to brainwash non-believers. What a cult. It's sickening.

u all r f**king noob man..let me teach u all...call me at [ed: hp number deleted].. do nt call me xy when u call..juz say 'sex talk' n i'll noe..

I've alaso undergo the same sex talk and has posted my personal opinion here:
http://yahoopot.blogspot.com/2006/01/sex-talk-no-talk-sense.html

Questioned around in school and discovered that even my girlfriend believes 100% of what they said. Oh well, they are abusing their power by making such speeches.

Went to the Narnia convention thing over at Orchard and picked up one of FotF's phamplets on Abstinence. And one of the most startling 'facts' that they themselves provide is that only 80% of people who sit through their talks take the virginity pledge. Even assuming that all of those 80% actually follow through with the pledge (hmmm what about oral and anal sex?), that still leaves 20% who are going out there and not having the proper knowledge on how to stay safe.

Brilliant.

Not to mention the fact that just because someone takes an abstinence pledge (particularly under the pressure exerted at such "sexuality education" settings) doesn't mean they'll necessarily abstain.

Given all of the above, how does it 'demean' the true value of love and sexuality? Especially when they define it in such an odious form (sex with contraceptives or homosexuality no better than masturbation?) ...

Today we're doing a workshop that celebrates lie! Here we have an impressive looking book cover, sort of like those dusty tomes of magical spells one finds in the Harry Potter movies. How ironic!

Sex outside of Marriage is Always Wrong Yay! Ind.........

yea,it is something like a cult cos they present beliefs like facts. if they were brave enough, they would have admitted that those are their own beliefs and not the entire truth.but it is disturbing that people swallow what they hear.no matter what, people should always be critical of what they hear because that way, they would know what they are really believing in and with loads of conviction.

Got this from the grapevine in the Church. Notice the words "forces of darkness" and "violent" and it seems some ex-CEO of Accenture helped convinced the garment to fund LL. Also from here, we can see that LL is really Choices repackaged. For those who don't know about Choices or Church of the Saviour.. I guess google will find it for you.

Greetings Brethrens,

Last night I was invited to the launch of Liberty Leagues. I want to make a plead to all of you to support this movement that I see the forces of darkness working actively.

This is a social group led by Leslie Lung - some may have read his book Freedom of Choice. This group is supported by Church of our Savior where
Leslie worship, other churches including Trinity Christian Centre, City Harvest, and Willie Cheng, a RC brother who strives to further many
social courses - he just step down from National Philanthropy Society as past Chairman (You may remember him as the retired CEO of Accenture)
and he managed to convince the Government to put in seed money of $90k for LL. Objective of this group is to hold talks in schools, support
groups, elderly groups; talks on homosexuality - that it is not something one cannot overcome and those stuck in it have FREEDOM OF CHOICE.

You may also read in yesterday Today paper on how the gay group reacted - just a beginning as their movement will gain momentum! In fact their
reaction has been so "violent" brother Leslie Lung ended the launch in a surprising twist - he is taking 2 weeks off to re-think the course - letting us know that he may not want to proceed with this course.

Brother Willie came to me at the end of the "twist" launch, seeking my support in raising funds for LL. I feel the calling of God to support this brother. Now I seek your prayer and seeking God if He want you to participate in this. We want to raise funds by end next week before Leslie make up his mind - to encourage him and to let him know that we truly support him - that he has a course that we Christians believe in and are committed to.

Can you please come back to me quickly.

Wishing you Shalom in this coming Chinese New Year.
