An Ardent Fan

Yan expressed his admiration for singer Siti Nurhaliza.

I grew up listening to hip hop, pop and rock and everything else in between. In an age where American pop culture rules, you were one of the few artistes who stayed true to her Malay roots. Sexy-clad chicks are aplenty. You stuck to your beliefs, and for that I salute you. This is a lot coming from someone whose grasp of the Malay language and culture could really use a refresher course. And so what if you don't show a lot of skin, or pop out your boob every now and then. You let your voice blow away all the critics.
