Singapore's Globalization Drive revisited

Korea Times said:

More crucially, Korea must consider Singapore, which is striving relentlessly to be a leader in the global economy through forging new ideas and engaging in innovative activities. For Koreans to do so, this calls for forward-looking and global mindsets and requires designing of appropriate and consistent policies that facilitate and promote technology and entrepreneurship.

An interesting article from a Korean perspective.

[jseng: Peter Drucker called Korea the most entrepreneur country in the world - I think we have a lot to learn from them, not the other way round.]

"forging new ideas and engaging in innovative activities"

Sure or not? I don't think Singapore is doing it lor. Imagine Creative is trying to copy iPod and even wants to bring Apple down to its knees. Ha! Talk about being 'Creative' and 'forging new ideas'.

Innovative? Like Newater? Recycling shit into something useful? Yea. And at the end of the day, you get fallen companies like Citiraya where they have to eventually sell their crap off the black market - and collaspe because of that.

Korea is already making leaps even greater than Singapore. Think Samsung's penetration into the WORLD market, as compare to Creative. Akira, Enzer and Wearnes are still thought of as 'low-class' and 'low-ranged' brands 'Made-in-China' - did I tell you that the three are Singaporean brands? :P

Learn from Singapore. Yea right.
