Tomorrow not free...

Anonymous Blogger said:

i mean i know it's an honour have your entries being showcased for all to see, increase site traffic, earn brownie points, contribute to news around the blogosphere.

But i have to remain anonymous...with exposure, im unable to do that. Being exposed might do me more harm than joy. So here it is...

No Tomorrow-ing of blog.

I think it is very callous of you people to people to dis-respect someone's wishes to remain anonymous.

If you have any decency, you should (i) remove the link immediately, and (ii) apologise unreservedly to the owner of the blog.

Ah, I didn't realize we told the world his secret identity. Where did you see it?

Some people just do not know how to read English.

In Short, (Some) Tomorrow Editors are abunch of rude and obnoxious bunch of childish attention whores who likes to piss and irritates people off.

It is no surprised some bloggers do not want to be associated with it. It is like having a serious movie broadcast on a kiddy show with the Telly Tubbies Editors and the kids make funny noise and making fun of the movie.

Jseng: I am the person who made the first comment. When I click on "Link", it sends me to the person-in-question's site. I trust that's enough for you to do something about it.

Just FYI, I'm not making any judgment on the quality of Tomorrow.sg; some of us just want to live our lives in peace.

Thanks.

The most "valuable" currency tomorrow.sg has on the blogsphere is the ability to bestow on those blogs they deem worthy the temporary spike in readership, by virture of their large readership.

The tomorrow.sg editors may have overestimated the value of their currency. Not everybody wants media attention, nor is everybody prepared to blogwhore for a large readership. Just because some bloggers do so, does not prove that all bloggers seek such validation.

Not everybody wants fame and a million readers descending on their blog. Believe it or not, there are some bloggers who would prefer a discerning readership over a mindless sheep-like audience seeking reciprocal links and social validation.

And I believe it galls some of the editors to be affronted with the knowledge that tomorrow.sg is not the ultimate be-all and end-all metablog of the Singapore/Malaysian blogsphere. And making fun of the situation and refusing to take it seriously does little to improve the credibility of tomorrow.sg either.

*yawn* *teflon coated* trolls, pls try harder.

ps: I am not refering to you Anon C. If the guy want us to take it down his link, he knows how to contact us.

Agreed that it's more polite to ask before tomorrow-ing one's blog. Just like how so many bloggers condemned the press for publicising the SPG saga for readership, how different are you guys from them if you do similar stuff? And if i aint mistaken, some of those who blasted the media are actually tomorrow editors themselves. How ironic.

Dear All,

I am the one who asked Ah 9 to post this on Tomorrow.sg as he is the author and sole creator. Ah 9 also happens to be a friend and fellow blogger of mine. He is an active member of my Cowboy Bar.

I hope the information above clears any doubts or anger about the situation. I'm sure Ah 9 appreciates your good intentions to protect his anonymity. Diversity in opinion is good and leads to better understanding of both sides of the coin.

Let's all go get a beer now.

regards,
Cowboy Caleb

muahahahaa..dont pretend you know whats bothering me. you dont know me enough.

hint: i find the whole link debate just an amusing pastime :-)

Trackback from mindless ramblings of an ineffectual preacher:

I'm a little slow to respond to the whole “Tomorrow I'm not free lah!” badge thing, but since Tomorrow.sg decided to make their own linking policy very clear, I'd address the issue as well....
