The Bugis California Fitness Centre Report

»

Paul Delima gives a detailed report on the new California Fitness Centre in Bugis:

When I arrived there, I saw the signs, advertising "75% off enrollment" and "Only $58 monthly", a quick calculation in my head revealed that would work out to $2 bucks a day if I went everyday, compared to $2.50 for the Tampines per entry. "This is pretty good," I thought to myself, "why didn't I join earlier"

Find out how he changed his mind after unravelling a vast conspiracy.

Hi,

If sign up within 72 hours, you can get a refund. It is what is call cool down period.
If it still cannot, you can approach the Members Service Manager of the clubs. If still cannot, go to the Country Operational Manager-Wilson Koh.
Last resort, if they don't offer any alternative, go to CASE.

Im in. I want to terminate my membership and they advise me that i could not.

I just went to the bank to terminate some Giro account and realized there's a J V Fitness under the Giro record. One of my friends told me its under California Fitness.

Imagine I have terminted my membership with CF since 2001 and now they're still deducting without my acknowledgement.. (My fault partially cause I did not update my passbook). So they've cheated me almost $8000 for these 5years.

I have not proof and any evidence or letter to show my membership is being terminated since it was 6 years ago i signed up and terminated the membership.

People out there, please please do not sign up at California Fitness... They're conners, no integrity piece of shit....

California Fitness Orchard studios for aerobics are flithy. It is full of hair on the floor. Long, Short, coloured, uncoloured, curly, straighthened what have you.
Some rolled up into a hair ball. Members would appreciate it if the management consider mopping/vacumming the place once in a while.
It is not that great to do floor exercises like yoga or deep yoga breathing knowing that you are just sucking in all the dead hair follices.
I don't want to go further into the step boards or dumb bells or yoga mats. Just the floor would do.
Please buying a mop or vacuum cleaner isn't that expensive considering the gym memberships we are paying.

So dirty!

how much are u paying anyways?

wow, i am glad i am with planet fitness..

the trainers are like super friendly.. they bother to smile at you if eye contact is made.. and they are approachable during times when they have no clients!

the best part, they don't go around selling themselves to the members (guess they are so much more qualified)

WOw~ I just discovered this forum thingy and seriously, I hope to tell everyone out there that CF (California fitness) offeres very lousy service. At least most of the service is so.

To cut my long story short, I just want to say, I got conned by the CF in orchard. Their members manager Sulyn and District manager (district manager some more) Rick are extremely rude. The District manager even passed a comment like "You only pay this amount monthly whereby our other (more valued) customers are paying 3 times like you do, so, what do you expect?"

And the only way this Rick person tried helping to appease me was to offer me a lifetime membership which I have to pay over 2k.

COme on everybody, PLEASE DO NOT JOIN CALIFORNIA FITNESS FOR GOOOOOODNESS SAKE.

Anyway, I switched to another club already.

Does anybody know the family name of this Rick district manager at Orchard CF? I'd like to file a complaint to CF...

You all should be like me.... have been to California Fitness Club a number of times but always on "trial" basis or as a guest of friends who are members.

Why pay to exercise? Prefer to exercise before my TV while watching a movie at the same time. This way..... kill two birds with one stone lah! Or exercise all muscles at the same time lah.... eyes, ears, legs, hands, stomach, etc. etc. Exercise will seem less boring this way as you are also being entertained on TV. Saves time and $$$. Try it. Don't be a couch potato.! Leave the space before the TV empty for your exercise!

The best people in california fitness orchard : towel ladies.
The worst in california fitness orchard : personal trainers. Big muscles small brains.

California Fitness Orchard: Land of walking PT Zombies, they never smile, they seldom talk, they don't give you eye contact. But, they find it a necessity to fight with you for machines..oh bec they are with a "paying PT customer'

Oh yes i forgot they only interact with customers who pay them. Oh...now i know why they walk around like zombies around me. Bec... I am not one of their pay masters

Towel Ladies ROCK!!!!

California fitness is terrible. On top of scamming people, they have a group of incompentent and rude fitness consultants to go along with their terrible package.
This particular incident happened at Cal. Fitness ORchard club. (which i have since vowed never to step into again unless that associated fitness consultant is fired). I signed up for a 6 weeks trial membership for $20. I was attended by this particular fitness consultant who already displayed her dishonest side by telling my friend and i to wait for her to do some paperwork , only to emerge with the district manager and psycho us into joining as full-fledged members. We have since rejected the offer cuz we wanted to try cal fitness' facilities out. OUr 6 weeks trial was supposed to start on 1st june, but since my friend and i had to leave for a 2 weeks vacation, we requested for the program to start on 14th june, and clarified with the associated FC(fitness consultant) if we could do so and YET END OUR MEMBERSHIP AFTER 6 WEEKS. We said so cuz we were aware that the membership will end as pers stated on the card (14 jul), hence we wanted to clarify. The FC said ok, and we can start on 14th june, and end 6 WEEKS LATER.

Come 15th jul, i went down for my trial workout again and was turned away at the reception counter cuz of my then expired card. I told her that this particular FC told me it's ok, and i had told her my situation, and asked her to get the FC down to clarify. THe FC came down, folded her arms, and said "your card has expired. I can't do anything"

Now, that completely pissed me off cuz she was the one who said it was ok, so i asked her why didn't she tell me earlier that the card will expire as per stated on the card? Given that my friend and i did ask her whether the membership still holds for 6 full weeks dating from the day we start the visit. and she replied, indifferently

"well, i'm not obliged to tell you that"

What do you mean you are not obliged to tell me that? What's your job then? If she had told me that, i'd haf just accepted things as it is. Even if she had not done so but apologised for her negligence, (more of deliberate hiding of facts in my eyes), i'd have been fine. After all, it is a SHORT TERM membership.. I don't realli care much for the extra 2 weeks. But no, she was defensive, rude, hence i requested to speak to the in charge

and goodness gracious, the so called in charge totally IGNORED ME.

his conveyed msg for me was 'the card has expired, he can't do anything'

This, in the 1st place, is total bullshit. Anybody with the slightest common sense knows how flexibility could be applied in any context, esp in one like this. Just drop a simple note at the reception, regarding our case, or just extend it with any of those available short term membership cards (there are plenty given out on a regular basis). What do you mean by 'you can't do anything' when you are the manager and it was your stuff who commited such an appaling mistake?

I was completely pissed off and stormed off the club, returning with my mum (who was once a member) and spoke to another AGM. To my utmost horror, the staffs there started cooking stories about me. 1st, they accused me of screaming the moment i stepped into the club, which i'd only had done so if i were a lunatic. That was complete bullshit. and the involved FC claimed i was SCOLDING the receptionist and that she had to come downstairs to pacify me.

BULLSHIT. 1st, i didn't scold the receptionist . and 2ndly, she came down to verify what i said, not to PACIFY me. like huh?

Not only that, even in front of this other AGM, she refused to admit to her mistakes and justified her rude act on the grounds that i 'raised my voice at her'.

In the very 1st place, i deserve an apology for her incapability to convey a simple information like this, whether is it on deliberate grounds or not.

I am very appalled by the level of service offered at california fitness, esp this particular orchard branch. Just cuz i paid $20 for this trial membership doesn't mean i can be treated like dirt. It's a trial. Should i want to sign up for any long term membership, a trial membership is gonna do me good. But alas, i get treatment like this which is gonna make me think more than twice when signing up for a long term membership. How can i trust placing $2000 with this particular company when i encounter such an unpleasant incident from this $20?? As a major gym franchise, cali fitness realli shud re-vamp their level of customer service offered. I've read thru some of the entries and i empathise with the unpleasant encountered by the various indivs. esp those who paid thousands of dollars only to receive such treatment. It's really a pity that my impression of this club has fallen to such a pit bottom, cuz i was seriously considering of a long term lifetime membership after this trial. All thanks to that particular FC, her manager on duty and her group of accomplice who ganged up to twist the tale against me, which i state *in case you forgot*, i am but, a customer.

I'm gonna send in a complaint to 24fitness soon. this has to be brought up.

Posted by disgrunted* on 7 August, 2006 - 5:31am

Sounds to me like you're probably a child or perhaps a cheap charlie. Look around you. There are lots of other people with more pressing problems then your measly $20 arguements. If the expiry date is on the card like you stated you ought to have noticed. So what's the point in getting your panties in such a twist for your lack for details? Besides, when you choose to have a membership that meets your financial constrains you cannot expect much in terms of customer service. That's the price you pay for a cheap membership. California Fitness has over 50 000 members with a daily check in of about perhaps 2000 members? That's where customer service is compromised. That's the reason why there are clubs like fitness first and planet fitness which gives you a little extra service for a little more money. Trial memberships aren't really trial memberships anywhere. These are marketing tactics to attract more people, which in turn helps the sales team increase its closing percentage. This happens not only with California Fitness but also other industries such as AIA, Prudential and even Banks. And from the way you had amicably put it, being completely pissed and storming off from the club and coming back with your mum, I believe the possibilities of the consultant claiming that you raised your voice at her or was even perhaps rude towards the receptionist might indeed be true after all. What goes around comes around. Attitude and tone counts for alot. Perhaps when you raised your voice instead of staying calm and rational led the consultant to come back at you with "why am i obliged to tell you". People treat you exactly the way you treat them. And if you didn't see the need in the extra 2 weeks, honestly why even bother with all the fuss. Walk away. It certainly would increase your lifespan. Anger only shortens it. A sales person job is to make the sales. They are neither customer service representatives nor receptionist so if they can't make the sale they call their superiors in to try making the sale. It's called sales procedure and it exists in every sales industry there is. Sales people don't very much care about Customer Service, which as much as it is a pity it's true. As a major franchise they don't really need to think much about their level of customer service. For every customer that walks out there are 10 others coming in. They can afford it. Besides, the customers who they try to keep are those who has invested a substancial amount of money versus your $20. Think about it. I can understand why the manager couldn't do much. If the expiry date was stated in the card it's pretty much black and white. It'd be your carelessness to have overlooked it. Even if the consultant had neglected mentioning to you about the expiry date, any normal person who saw a date on the card would be smart enough to question it. It seems to me like you probably like to play the "they bullied me mummy" card quite a bit. Why else would you bring your mum into the picture whether or not she was a member before? To put it short, Grow Up. There are thousands of people there who sign up on a long term membership without going for a trial. They are decisive people who know what they want in a gym. And most of the time they don't care much about service. A look at the place would tell them whether or not the facilities suit them. They know you can't have the best of both worlds. So come back to reality. The world's not perfect. So what is it that you are so upset about?? You said you don't care much for the extra 2 weeks and then you say there should be a flexibility of some sort so as to be able to extend the membership in your case. It seems like you DO care very much about the extra 2 weeks just as much any other cheap charlies would have. And when you could not get your way, you decided to bring your mother back with you in hopes that You'd get your way. Also vow on something plausible. Should the company decided to compensate you and give you a 1 year FREE membership, I am pretty sure your "vows" would have been long thrown out of your window. Natural Human Nature. I empathise with the people who got bad service after investing thousands of dollars too. But you, I don't. You're just a spolit kid who thinks too highly of yourself. Probably was treated like a princess all your life. This is life sweetheart. It's unfair. You either kill yourself or get over it. This whole misunderstanding could have been resolved amicably if you didn't blow it out of proportion with the voice raising and the rude attitude. Seems like being the princess you are, you decided to raise your childish unhappiness in this forum. And don't bother wasting your time with 24 hour fitness. They are just an affliation. Nothing is going to be done. You're at a losing end. And I doubt the consultant would get fired over such a stupid incident. Especially not if she has been with the company for a long time which judging from her bold nature by having the guts to tell you she is not obliged to tell you, I can confidently say she probably has been with the company for a long time. You made a mockery out of yourself as it is, don't make a bigger fool out of yourself. At the end of the day, you are the joke.

Just in case anyone was interested; 24hr fitness probably has close to nothing to do with CF apart from just lending CF their 'name'. In the states, 24hr fitness has to be the most ghetto gym I've gone to. The facilities there are TRULY gross; BUT the membership rates are TRULY low as well. AND they are open for 24 hr fitness.

If anyone is interested, one way that is possible to get a really cheap CF membership is to go to the West Coast of the United states and get a really cheap membership card (3 mth contract?) with 24hr. Then use it at Cali in Asia ad infinitum. They have no way of verifying the validity of the 24 hr card.

California Fitness Orchard PTs are a bunch of losers. They strut around the gym as if they own the world. I paticularly dislike the long-haired (the length of his hair from his head to his backside) male chinese PT with terrible body odour. He goes around offering his PT services only to female gym goers whom he finds attractive. (female gym ladies with extremely skimpy workout fit) Today, this PT was seen "frolicking" with a female gym goer... so much for professionalism while on duty. I bet gym goers find him disgusting!!!

Another CF PT ( obviously gay) often approaches male gym goers whom he finds attractive eg ANG MO. Seen it happening so many times.

The towel aunties are much more pleasant and human. 3 cheers for the towel aunties.

CF would be a more pleasant place for all without the PT. Who needs them? With their big muscles and unsmiling faces they are a liability. Without them I am sure our monthly subscription would be much cheaper.
MACHINES LEFT TO ROT!!!
Machines don't get repaired for weeks. Worst still, machines that are spoilt are left for gym users to discover weeks after weeks that it remained spoilt without any written notice.

All,

I terminated my membership at California Fitness, Orchard Rd, Singapore in March 2006. Payment was in advance so the 2 month notice period would mean that the last payment they should take from my credit card would be April 2006. However money has been taken off my card in May, June and July.

I have contacted the staff there, but they are hopeless. THey say that all monies are non-refundable. They also say there is no record of the termination of membership! If they've lost it then why am I being penalised?

Does anyone know where I can complain officially? Does Singapore have a consumer protection organisation?

Many thanks
Andrew

PS - I'm now in the UK so unfortuantely I cant go down there to complain!

Hi Andrew...

With regards to your articles dated 24 July 2006.
I too just encountered bad services at California Fitness at Raffles on 19 September 2006 between 7.45-8.30pm. Anyway, i told my colleague and he said that we can report to Singapore C.A.S.E @ http://www.case.org.sg/

so much of Singapore trying to encourage retailers to promote good customer service but this CF doesnt provide any gd services.. CF customer services are BIG LOSERS and such a booboo...

Thumbs down for CF...
*lynn*

Hi, I have the same experience.. Now complaint to Singapore Case but California not accept unless I can pay the rest of the months which I didn't go for gym at all.. I've 1 year membership with them and it has been ended few months ago but they still charging me every month. And send me a warning letter after few months which I just realised that they didn't terminate my membership... This has ended up with few hundreds dollars! What a laozi gym centre!!! PLLLLLLLLLLS Dont Join It.. I still suffering how to terminate my membership..

you can actually go down to the club personally and do a termination @ e counter.

Posted by tinkle* on 25 September, 2006 - 11:51am

you write the termination request at the counter is also no use! the manager in charge do not update or keep track of their job.

i just had an incident just now at the gym itself and eventually it go way off hand and i am pissed off!

Actually my sis has also encountered such an incident where she had terminated her membership before the contract has ended. Also, she has called the bank to cease the giro payment. After a few months, they sent a letter to her asking her to pay up and said that her contract did not end on the date my sis told them. Good thing that my sis kept the agreement which she signed upon joining the membership.

You can bring this matter to the Small Claims Court in Singapore. It is a court where it hears claims not exceeding $10, 000 that relates to dispute arising from a contract for the sale of goods; or a contract for the provision of services.. It's a court where no lawyers will be allowed to represent you and you have to present your own case. You have to find your own evidences for example the membership agreement, the termination agreement, and your bank statement showing the deduction from your account. It is an inexpensive way of getting the justice you deserve. If your claim is less than $5000, you just have to pay a lodgment fee of $10. if more than $5000, the fee is $20.

My previous colleague who bought a faulty nokia phone asked for a replacement at nokia, she even contacted the manager but they did not get back to her. Then she filed a claim at the Small Claims Court. Finally nokia replied and offered her a replacement.

ure sister got the money back? or didnt have to pay CF?

I came accross the same trouble as you guys. I dont know how to solve it. I was going to terminate my membership card that day. However they told me that I have to pay one month extra in additon to the last two month prepayment. The reason is that we have to terminate the membership 5 working days before the autopayment. And it is stated on the contract. My goodness. How do i know that? Anyone has any solution for me to avoid the one month extra payment. where should i complain California Fitness (bugis). Thanks

How did you settle your issue? I got a letter from them 15 months later stating I have to pay SGD 1800/- for not closing my account.

I renewed my membership in 2005 and was told that I only need to pay $8 per year renewal after the 36 mths membership. They cancelled the printed $0 renewal rate and handwritten $8 per year over it. Now that the 36 mths is over.. California fitness refuse to honor the renewal fee. The reason given was that there was no signature on the handwritten amendment. At the point of signing the contract, I ask if the handwritten amendment is valid and the sales consultant said "Yes!".

The same issue happened to my friend whom we sign up together. Worse still, another friend who renewed her membership a weeks earlier got her renewal membership changed from $9/ mth to $8/ year after she used our contract to fight for her right. Her renewal rate is honor although the contract did not have any signature on it. (btw the same sales consultant attend to all 3 of us.

Went to CASE and nothing can be done. All I can say is.... California Fitness is all out to cheat us!!! Very disappointed....

Hi Guy & Gal,

I guess we will need to really unite together to get Singapore Consumer Protection Law to stand up for us.

I am really very unhappy with the following issues. I have been using California Gym for more then 5 years and only today I found out that my card have expire with my own initiative by calling in. I am not sure what are you all trying to do. Since my card have expired for more than 1.5 years why I was never stopped from entering the club from May 2007- today. Even when today 11 Feb 2009 I try entering the club I was successful in doing so. I have notice that your member service officer always swaps my card even when there is no green light on the card reader your guys still allowed us to enter the club.

I have been very active using the gym for the last 1.5 years and was never stop before and has never been inform of my membership expire status due for renewal, why have this security laps happened? During my visit some time in April or May 2008 I was there with a friends helping him to transfer his membership/renew from Taipei over to Singapore I actually did asked to checked on my card expiry date but was informed that my card is still not due for renewal. I am really not sure why this card have actually expire and I was told the card have not expire at all, are they all trying to use tactic to make the renewal expiry validity and try reselling me another new gym membership? No letter was also send to my mailing address at all.

Finally I have not only checked once about my card status. I have checked it a total of 3 times. One time when I was in Novena Gym, twice at RP gym. Moreover I do come to gym with my friends and both us are always allowed to enter.

The manager even say there is nothing he can do and asked me to resign another packages. Why can he asked me to resigned another packages why don he reinstate my existing membership at $58 per year. I am also willing to pay the outstanding but he just rejected.

I guess they are really cheating on us consumer. And we all should unite to get our rights. Anyone know how we can proceed from here.

As a follow up to Anonymous Coward's message, did anyone file a complaint on this Rick guy (ex California Fitness, now at Pure Yoga)? He is the worst sales consultant ever and has absolutely no work ethic. He is rude and despicable. I do not understand why Pure Yoga has hired him - they should fire him as soon as possible! Having a token "white male" in a fitness centre mainly for women, and making the staff and clients feel inferior is not effective. He is NOT an asset to the Pure Yoga business and is infuriating clients. He obviously has no true skills - he can not teach yoga, he does not understand the theory of yoga, and he is a poor sales consultant (being pushy and rude and forceful and insulting clients is not the way to win sales!).

Posted by Candice* on 9 September, 2008 - 2:30pm

hello! did any of u file the complaint then? on this Rick guy formerly at california & now at pure yoga?? did anything happen after?

Posted by Anonymous Coward* on 31 August, 2008 - 10:20pm

Ok... Im not one of the victims who was cheated into the membership. Mine was a totally different kinda situation with their staff.

Im working as a retail assistant at one of the boutiques at Vivocity. Was minding my own business when 3 guys claiming they were from California Fitness walked into my shop n started promoting this card which they claimed it's exclusive to tenants only. Started the sales talk emphasizing that there's no obligations etc and i knew where they were heading at (com'on, Im in the sales line too! )

Told them that Im not interested, heard about similar promos and gave the ultimatum: that Im working and was supposed to b making sales and not giving in to sales. And besides, the cameras were watching me and it wouldnt b good for me if my boss were to see me talking to them. And I thought they would be understanding as we are just answering to our respective bosses but you know what the f... pardon me, guy replied? RUDELY of course:

"Oh by the way if the management of Vivo asked please tell them that we have come into your shop as the management's cameras are watching too."

EXCUSE ME, WERE YOU TRYING TO USE MY WORDS BACK ON ME?!!!

Fine. I promptly called the management to "kindly inform them" that the guys from California Fitness have approached me, which they told me it's touting and STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED. Security was immediately called up to search for the trio and from what I heard, they eventually sent them back to where they belong! Thanks for reminding me about the management thingy, mister. Think Im some pushover? U r so damn wrong!

I have my rights to reject u as a customer but you have no right to be rude to me at all!

California Fitness doesn't provide its salespersons ethics. There main goal is to achieve a sale. I was sold a pre-payment membership whereby the agent promised me a 24 hour cancellation verbally. We bargained for 30 mins. Finally reaching no conclusion. He calls me the next day, asks me to come try the center and provides an even cheaper deal. I get tempted and come in and sign. I use the facility and I find it not adequate in hygiene (machines not well cleaned and sanitised regularly). Overall, I was sent to the customer relations who had no response. No hope for refund and now I'm stuck with a club that I don't feel comfortable with. Decietfull sales tactic must be publicly known so that others are not cheated.

Please do me a favor and sue this company so that it files Chap 11! They don't have any ethics and in today's world companies that don't have ethical employees don't need to be open. THIS IS LIKE ENRON. Except its FITNESS.

I will always update this forum with anything I find over the next 2 years of my unwanted membership. I hope to see this company in bankruptcy. All members deserve a refund from aggressive lying sales coordinators. They go beyond their norms and international norms.

Inshallah! THIS COMPANY will pay for its crimes! Get the best lawyers its a big potential. Everybody is a loser in California fitness when it comes to memberships paid.

Before signing any contracts from California Fitness.

Seek the Country Operations Manager-Wilson Koh
The Members Service Managers- can explain the contracts to you as they will later be processing your suspension and termination of your contracts.

Good Lucks to those signing with them

HEY GUYS!

you have to read the small prints!!! When you go to CF to get your membership account terminated - they merely issue you a "MEMBERSHIP SUSPENSION/TERMINATION REQUEST FORM" - its is a REQUEST FORM - read further the smaller prints it stated:

"By signing below, I understand that this document is ONLY a request to suspend or terminate my membership. Completion of this document DOES NOT verify that my membership will be suspended or terminated. In addition, I understand that if requesting a Termination of membership that it must be made at least 5 days prior to my billing date stated on my membership. Final approval for this request IS SOLELY at the discretion of California Fitness."

So you're merely REQUESTING after filling up the form - that doesn't mean it'll be approve. As final aproval will be made by CF. You guys have to read every small details. You still have to get back to CF after 5 working days to ask on whether your membership termination is approve or not. If you never get back - they'll just put your case aside and continue their auto-billing from your bank account.

Its just so damn weird that when you want to terminate your membership - it'll still have to undergo approval. APPROVAL FOR WHAT? I dont want to continue means doesn't want to continue la. PERIOD!

I don;t know about you guys but CF reminds me of the gym ran by that evil guy (played by Ben Stiller) in dodge ball while my neighbourhood gym is the older (but friendlier) gym run by Vince Vaughn.
I wonder how CF can keep getting away with cheating so many people out of their money for so long. I originally wanted to sign up with them, but after hearing SO MANY bad experiences...FORGET IT!

Hey! What i could i say bout CF, Pricing with ups & downs!! Its just like Petaling Street in KL!! Old style of salesman! Why is this happening? A big well known fitness company doing all this SHITz!! They could improve better on this if they could change all the stuck-up salesman! Most of them are wearing GUCCI, LV, HERMES, ROLEX, PANAERAI & etc.. I even saw them even drives nice cars. Are they really earning GOOD by cheating our $$$$??

I had this experience in CF on my Infinity membership card based on renewal rate yearly?? The guy who sold to me was Tony Foo which he said that its was a life-time membership which i need to pay $3k+ and thats it! I could transfer to anyone if need to.
By trusting to him and company, i paid and signed everything without reading. Its was my fault for trusting a Smart Idiot!!

Recently, i've been stop by one of the receptionist in Orc branch name Bernard. He told me that my membership due to make a renewal of $8. He even told me that i had to pay a reinstatement fee of $98 plus 3years of backdate charges which i told him that i've been the gym once a week in this 3years, why there's no one has stop me??? Is this kind of Computer error or they simply follow their mood for asking payment from us? I was so upset with the system here. Empty promises all over CF!! When i spoke to GM there, he said that there's nothing we could do more and they will based on the contract i've signed. I explained to him everythings and he kept saying that he would refer to the Operations side. To me, its not fair to blame on the Service Manager there cause NOT she's the want made any sales or promises!!! Its all the STUPID BASTARD CALIFORNIA FITNESS CONSULTANTS!! They are very good on cheating us to live better through it and wear BRANDED GOODS!!

Overall, i guess that the receptionist and towel peoples are much more better by taking care of us!! Thumbs up to them!! Till now, my case still not solves yet due to request made by Mr Bernard to his high managements. I hope that they could look upon the sales persons attitude and talking like AH BENG SHITz!!

BEWARE PEOPLES!! If you need a gym there, do READ befor SIGNING!! Don't trust the SALESMAN there!!

ok crap. after readin all of these i blardeh regret now. i jus joined them under pressure. n makin me wait damn long it's been like 3 mths now? im paying student membership but i stil find tt i've done something wrong. after i signed up. i was shown a personal trainer. and that one also tried selling. it was hell for me. and now im like blaming myself for my stupidity in lettin them force me into it.and yes there's no blardy free trial. it's jus to force you into taking up the membership. and personal trainers should be there to help you not force you into taking up sessions. they're trainers not salesperson. Although fitness first is on the high side, at least it wasn't on pressure that they got their clients and regulars. =)
