NAPFA: The pros and the cons

ripplingwave elaborated on how NAPFA (physical fitness tests for Primary, Secondary and Tertiary school students) can be a torture for students, and proceeded to explain its rationale and how students who do not fare well in certain items could train themselves.

How many of you would find pleasure in giving your arms an intense workout on a metal bar held up by two other bars or forcing as much spring as possible out of your weary legs while, at the same time, squeezing every drop of salty liquid out of your system and onto your skin? I would think that the answer in every one of your minds right now would be a big, fat “No”. In this case, the conclusion that many Singaporean students do not like NAPFA can be made.

Ah, my alma mater.... since when was the run only 1.2 km??!! Oh man, they're in the computer lab that the school made us raise funds for, but since we were leaving, we never got to benefit.
