you managed to be NUMBER ONE!!!
congrats! :)

I think being threatened with court martial is worse :P

he has taken down his site until further notice...

Owing to threats of litigation, access to this website has been disabled until further notice.

Actually he has not. He only blocked access from .edu.sg domain. He expresses his apology in his blog.

Acidflask in his blog:

pending the advice of proper legal counsel, i have blocked access from the edu.sg domain until further notice. i apologize for the uncharacteristic discourtesy toward the innocent bystanders who happen to access my blog through the said domain, and that the situation has to degenerate to such a level. but then again i didn't ask for the threat of a lawsuit.

why take down the whole site? cannot just remove only the offending post?

Because he's a non-so-anonymous coward? ;)

This is ridiculous, does this mean then that whatever is said on blogs can be used in a court of law? Maybe we should put disclaimers behind every sentence written.

Acidflask, if you're reading this - you have my best wishes. Hope all this blows over.

Thanks Anthony. I'm seeking legal counsel.

TrackBack from mindless ramblings of an ineffectual preacher:

A few days ago I read on Tomorrow.sg that a Singaporean blogger was being threatened with legal action for something that was posted on his blog. Damn, I thought. After Adrian Loo's little incident......

I cannot enter the blog. What happened? why is acidflask being sued? isnt there suppose to be freedom of speech esp on the internet?

You bloggers are all the same - full of bullshit and crap. With blisters on your hands from all that jerking around!

Whats the use of on-line noise making? Will it help change the Singapore Government for the better?

Zip up your traousers - and shut down your PCs. Get out into the real world and start pushing for real world change.

All that sound & fury in your blogs won't bring an extra ounce of freedom or justice for us serfs on the Singapore streets.

Stop blogging and shitting all over the internet.

Stop talking the cock !

Start walking the talk!
